Cervical Screening

A cervical screening test (previously known as a smear test) is a method of detecting abnormal cells on the cervix. The cervix is the entrance to the womb from the vagina.

Detecting and removing abnormal cervical cells can prevent cervical cancer.

We offer a full range of family planning services including the fitting/removal of contraceptive coils and implants.

We run weekly drug and alcohol shared care sessions in conjunction with Unity. Appointments are arranged through key workers within Unity and not made by the Practice.

Each GP undertakes antenatal and post-natal care, or you can opt to have the majority of your maternity care with a community midwife.

We will see and treat minor injuries in the Practice, including wounds requiring stitches, burns, foreign bodies, falls. We can refer on for x-rays if appropriate. Please use A&E for significant injuries including fractures, as well as for medical emergencies.

We undertake minor operations and joint injections. Please make an appointment to discuss this with your Doctor.

We offer full sexual health screening services here at the practice.
